In partnership with the historic Verdi Club, this event will feature an eclectic chamber music performance by the Faculty Artists of the Rushmore Music Festival, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Joining us from Hawaii will be a very special guest, 16-year-old cellist Pyotr Alvarado, a 2022 student alumni of the Rushmore Music Festival. The concert program will include selected works by Mendelssohn, Piazzolla, Mozart, Gershwin, among others.

All proceeds from the event will benefit student fellowships for the 6-week summer intensive solo & chamber music program. The Festival is one of the premier destinations for talented young musicians ages 12-18 studying strings and piano at the pre-professional level. Located in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota, students nationwide attend the program for an immersive musical experience of a lifetime. Each accepted student attends on a full-tuition scholarship, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion by ensuring that each accepted student is able to attend regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.
